Consider Others When You Are On The Phone In Public

Most of us who have mobile phones use them in public. According to the latest statistics, more than 85% of all Americans have a mobile, 52% own a laptop and a rapidly growing 4% own a tablet or a newer class of combined tablet. That means at any given time, many individuals are on a communication device. It's not uncommon to find people tapping away or talking away on their phones while walking, jogging or even eating in public locations.

How many of us are aware of public cell phone etiquette? It is frustrating when people continue to talk or chat during live performances, hospital visits or attending a movie. A recent study of New York commuters also stated that, on an average, each commuter had to face more than five PDT or Public Displays Of Technology. These were viewed as annoying or intrusive by those surveyed.

Simple rules of etiquette help people enjoy being out in public without having to listen to another person's conversation. Here are some suggestions to follow:

1) Avoid picking up calls during business meetings or in public places. Your calls can go to voice mail to be sure that you don't miss important messages.

2) Be conscious of others around you if you are on the phone. Walk to an area nearby that is more private. Remember, that people around you may be trying to read a book or concentrate on something that is important to them. It isn't easy to do that when there are other sounds.

3) Turn the ringer off when you are in areas such as museums, hospitals, cemeteries and places of worship, If you are expecting an urgent call, switch over to the vibrator mode or forward all calls to your assistant.

4) Use a simple ring tone. You can use unobtrusive and gentle ringtones which will let you know that you have a call. These won't startle other people.

5) Don't yell on the phone. If the conversation is very emotional it is best to have a private discussion with the person. Often, speaking in person is more effective than the phone when there are many issues.

6) Avoid multitasking while talking on the cell. It's dangerous particularly when you are walking or driving. Do not try to handle several activities while you are on the phone. Remember, that you are looking down while you are dialing a number and your eyes will not be focusing on other things.

7) Utilize the caller id function to filter your calls effectively. Not every call is urgent and many can be returned at a later time.

Try to think about the feelings of other people. How do you feel when you are at a restaurant with someone and they take a phone call while you are in the middle of a conversation? Treat others the way that you wish to be treated. Spending time with someone is very special and it is rude to spend half the time being distracted by text messaging or phone calls.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2

Samsung has added to the range of phones in the Galaxy realm by adding an updated version of the ultra-successful Samsung Galaxy Ace. It is definitely a middle of the market phone with many great features but a few that I would certainly quibble about. The browser I found to be cumbersome and a little awkward and limited in capacity. It did not seem to have enough beef when trying to access the net when using GPS, although it was very quick on Wi-Fi.

This is an Android phone and I found it to be very strange that the latest version on its operating system was not installed. It uses the 2.3 v as opposed to the later and faster 4.0 v. The apps it promotes are Samsung apps and not the Android apps, although it is not difficult to access Android apps via the Play Store. It does however have a fantastic touch screen which measured healthy 3.8-inches. This is perfect for viewing those videos or playing games or even just watching YouTube videos.

It has a smart image resolution on the screen but I have seen far better. In truth there is not much to say about the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 that could place in a league where it stands up next to some of the higher end market smartphones. It does have several plus points though and the brilliant action camera is one of them at 5-megapixels. It also has a dual core processor running on it which in truth impresses. It has an aesthetically pleasing look about it and is strong, durable and easy on the eye.

I believe users will be disappointed with the fact the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 has made a point of using Android 2.3 Gingerbread as its operating system; particularly when Android launched the 4.0 version of its OS before the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 even came on to the market. This would easily have been a far better smartphone if it opted for the use of the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which Google launched and the HTC One X made great use of. There are a few defining factors that salvage some redemption for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 however; it allows specific updates to try to wrestle its users closer to a more updated OS which gives this phone some advantage over more expensive models.

As such organizations are upgrading to network mobility solutions that can help support constant connectivity with its own employees and its customers. Wireless network service is the technology that has made all of this possible.

This is very beneficial for home users due to its availability and the basic need of a satellite dish and a modem. Some of its drawbacks are the relatively modest bandwidth and the high latency connections.

Fixed wireless broadband is a wireless network that is mostly used by home users. It is a type of internet access where connections use radio signals instead of cables. This is very useful in areas which do not have reliable DSL or fiber optic cable internet. Some of the drawbacks are a clear line of sight between the subscriber and a ground station and the non-availability of roaming features.

Wi-Fi became a game-changer in wireless and mobile technology. The cost of a Wi-Fi connection is relatively low and most of the new computers have built-in hardware to support this technology. Many urban locales have Wi-Fi hotspots which offer wireless network to the public within a suitable range. These hotspots are joined to create a mesh network which extends to a small area or an area encompassing several miles. Several public services and municipalities have successfully incorporated Wi-Fi networks.

The newest and one of the most convenient forms of internet for each user is the cell phone. Cell phones have been existence for a while but have only recently evolved to merge internet services. One of the biggest advantages is the connectivity which is available in any area with network coverage. Technologies like the 3G and 4G have enabled the modern smartphones to do high-speeds and most of these new phones contain hardware which can make use of Wi-Fi. Additionally, all service providers have a plan which are independent of the call plans.

With more users becoming mobile and businesses more collaborative, wireless network services help organizations keep up connectivity, agility, and differentiation. It is the next generation of the internet technology that has immensely helped network mobility and productivity.

In the communication world there are several important things to have in place for your company to be successful. Such things like a content distribution network, interactive video services, satellite communications and a wireless network service are all important pieces to have in place for your business to run smoothly.
